LETS GO GIRLS, MEMPHIE IS 3!
Memphis’ birthday was ICONIC. The pink, the glitter, and Dolly!? It was perfect! Let’s talk about all the deets so you can have your own epic disco cowgirl birthday party!!
The Decorations:
Balloons, A Necessity!!
Where would a party be without balloon arches and tons of photo ops? My sweet friend, @graeandgracecollective, did these amazinggggg balloons all over the house and yard! They really made the party the EXTRAAAA! We put them over the arches (which I’ll tell you all about later), photo walls, food tables, doors, and hanging from the ceiling! She was a dream to work with!!! I gave her my ideas and she brought them to life. Not to be dramatic, but I cant throw a party without her.
Making The Arches!
Looks lavish and extra- but it was SO simple!! And cheaper than renting!! Brandon went and got 3 large pieces of plywood, rounded the tops with some cool tool we had in the garage, and then we painted them! Viola! That was literally it!! They slide nicely into the garage, so we’ll def be keeping and repainting for all future parties!!
Custom Papers
Okay this one of my favorite “hacks” if you want to call it that! First if you’re not using Canva, what are you doing?! We use it for everything!! We made cute little papers with fun sayings and pics of Memphie all cowgirl’d up. We made them for the food tables, directions, drinks, goody bags, and bathroom signs! They’re so cheap to either get printed at Walgreens (there is always a coupon) or print yourself. We glued the smaller ones to pink card stock and put the big in poster frames! I linked it all here. 😊 It made the party look so special + unique!!
Same for the invitations!! I made these super cute ones on Canva, printed them out, and passed them out to the class!! SO extremely fun, easy, and cheap!!
Streamers!
DIY streamers is another one of my favorite “hacks,” it’s still simple, but it’s much more time consuming. 🙃 Start with your basic 99 cent plastic table cloths. You’ll need a couple, the banner pictured above is probably like 5 table cloths! While they’re still folded up, cut them into 1-2 inch strips. The next part is the time consuming part… you have to individually loop them through a piece of yarn until the whole thing is filled up to your desired length! Don’t worry about even cuts or length, the more random the better!! We hung these banners over windows, hallways, and on the photo booths too!
The DIY Dolly Stage
We stacked up 4-5 Nugget Couches to make a stage for the kids to perform on! This was actually way more of a hit than we thought it’d be. The kids LOVED it!! We had play microphones, music, glitter, boas, and so much more that the kiddos got to take home!! Such an easy way to make lasting memories!!!
The Good Stuff
The Charcuterie
I literally pray that charcuterie boards stay on trend for the rest of my life! I’m still obsessing over the set up my girl at Graham & Graze did for the party!! Like if you’re in the ATX area you neeeeed them. It’s perfect for those in-between meal parties and it just looks good. We did these and a Chick-Fil-A nugget table for the party snacks!
The Cookies
These were almostttttt too cute to eat. The cookies are from my bestie, Caroline, she is one of the most amazing people I know and her cookies are perfect for all occasions. We had them scattered around the cake table, in the charcuterie boards, laid around everywhere! It’s like edible decor!
The Cake
Still speechless over this cake by @jaime.sweeteats. We use her for every event! She’s based out of Sealy, Texas so our family always drives them in for us! The drive is risky, but worth it! The sprinkles, the pink, the disco balls, the sparkles. SO extra, SO delish!!
The Goody Bags
We did precious goody bags like the ones above. Simple but cute!! We wrapped a long bubble tub and heart sunglasses up with a bandana, tied a curly bow with ribbon, then stuck em in a cute basket!! We also sent home the microphones, boas, ponies, and cookies. Kids walked out with arms full of stuff, they loved it and made clean up easier!
We also had a dress up station where the girls could add glitter to their hair and face, fake jewelry, and lip gloss! We had Dolly Parton quotes all over the getting ready area for a little inspo! It was so fun!! All the goodie bag and dress up stuff is linked here!!
Bounce House + Petting Zoo
The least pink things of the party, but still fitting! 😉 We couldn’t pass up a petting zoo and pony rides for my little cowgirl’s bday!! We found the best company that came to our house and helped keep kiddos entertained. The bounce house because DUH! We gotta tire these babies outttttt!
Personally, there’s no such thing as too much…
I’d like to think I’m the final touch queen! If there’s an empty space- I want fill it with something cute and pink! The deer might have actually been my favorite part.
If you’re throwing a bday party soon, go all out, Mama!! It’s once a year!! Hope these hacks and tips helped ya. Tag me in what you do! 💕
All the party decor is super affordable and fun from Amazon or Walmart! It’s all linked here!!
