DIY Ikea Play Kitchen
This is one my all time favorite DIYs that I’ve done for the girls! All it takes a couple bottles of spray paint, some cheap contact paper, and lots of creativity!!
First you need to grab this Ikea Play Kitchen, some kitchen accessories, spray paints (I used pink, gold, and white), and cute contact paper for the granite look!
My video below explains it pretty well, but if you’re one of those people to actually need to read some instructions…
here ya go:
- Take all little handles, the sink, hardware, and accessories! Throw them on a spray paintable surface (I used a cardboard box!) and go to town painting them gold!
- Grab the microwave door and the bottom doors to spray paint your fav color! Ours are pink- duh!
- Take all the other wood pieces and either leave them the natural wood color or spray white! But it’s SO cute white… don’t leave it wood.
- While that’s all drying, apply the contact paper to the counter top piece!
- ASSEMBLE!! Or have your hubby assemble, it’s easier that way.
- If you want to be *extra* like me, I used this wallpaper on a piece of plywood and nailed it to the back of the kitchen for a cute backsplash.
- Lastly, take a cute pic and tag me!!
I wanted my girls kitchen to be SASSY and flow with our house, this definitely does both and I’m OBSESSED!!!

Now nobody has an excuse now for an ugly play kitchen 😉
